Having worked with volunteers locally at Jersey Library and before that the Jersey Opera House, Susie was the Events Manager at HSBC. Susie and her family moved to Jersey in 2014 after having spent over 12 years working in the UK at Opera North Leeds. Susie is CIPD qualified and passionate about working with people.
My Dad (in the UK) was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in Spring 2020, so I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work at Dementia Jersey. I am a real people person and love meeting new people and organising engaging activities and events. I am really looking forward to developing the range and number of activities we offer to help make a difference to those living with Dementia in Jersey. However, working with all our wonderful volunteers and spreading a little bit of sparkle has to be the best part of my job.
Susie lives with her husband, two teenage boys and their cockapoo dog, Doris. She enjoys reading, crochet and going to the theatre. As a student Susie used to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe each summer. These days her and her husband make the journey north to the festival every year to celebrate their anniversary and to relive their youth with no kids!
