What I Love about my job

I love working with organisations and communities who are trying to help others and give back and that’s why I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Dementia Jersey.

Running peer support groups for people with sight-loss in Nottingham put me face to face with people who also had dementia and this allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the complex challenges this can bring. I’m looking forward to developing a programme that can help people live a rich and full life after diagnosis as well as nurturing a vibrant community of volunteers to support them.

Having grown up on the island I can’t wait to bring the events, activities and volunteering skills I have honed in the UK to the island I love. I know how enthusiastic the people of Jersey can be about supporting good causes and I can’t wait to share my ideas with them and help them developed their ideas too!
