🚌💜 A huge shout-out to @jerseybustoursci for saving the day! 🙌 We cannot thank you enough for lending us your headphones for our new free training programme for family carers - Dementia Information Programme (DIP).
The headphones were used in an interactive simulation, helping our DIP participants gain a better understanding of what it can be like to have dementia.
Big thanks to James for the headphones and for rigging up a portable system to make it all possible!

FREE DEMENTIA TRAINING FOR FAMILY CARERS – AUGUST 2024
Calling all family carers! Dementia Jersey is thrilled to offer FREE dementia training through our Dementia Information Programme (DIP). This 4-week interactive course is designed specifically for family carers, providing valuable insights, advice, and practical tips to help you better support a person living with dementia at home.
Our August sessions will run every Tuesday throughout the month. We have morning or evening session times, depending on what better suits your schedule. Limited spaces are available so sign up today to secure your spot!

Become a Dementia Friend
Our Dementia Friends programme aims to change the way people think, act and talk about dementia.
Our specially trained Dementia Champions deliver face-to- face awareness sessions to small groups.
Workshops are free, around an hour long and will enhance people’s understanding of dementia using interactive activities, Q&A session and videos. All participants will earn a Dementia Friends Jersey badge to further spread awareness.
