Clare trained as a nurse in London and worked within the team at Jersey Hospice as a staff nurse. For the last 6 years she has worked as the Stroke Support Coordinator in Jersey. Clare has also spent five years working in a care home as the activities’ organiser. In all of these roles she has worked with people with dementia and their carers.
Clare is delighted to be able to work as a Dementia Advisor and help support people who have been affected by dementia. Personal experience has taught her that a diagnosis of dementia can be a difficult journey and informed, kind support is invaluable. Working for a local charity that is focussed on the needs of people with dementia in Jersey is a real joy to her.
