About us
Information about us, our history, our mission and our vision for the future.
Who we are
Originally an arm of the UK Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia Jersey ( previously Jersey Alzheimer’s Association) was formed in 2010 to support everyone in the island affected by dementia in whatever way.
Jersey now has over 1600 people diagnosed with some form of dementia and many more that we don’t know about.
Since 2012 we have experienced a dramatic 235% increase in demand for our services and now regularly welcome over 400 people to our events and activities each month.
Our team
Dementia Jersey has approx. 12 staff in various positions supported by the regular and invaluable input of over 30 dedicated volunteers. View our people page for more on who they are and what they’re doing to help make Jersey a more dementia friendly island.
Working with us
We are always looking for volunteers to help at out at our many groups and activities and occasionally we have vacancies for permanent or contract staff.
Our Patron
We’re delighted to welcome our new Patron, Dr Karen Kyd – wife of Jersey’s new Lt Governor His Excellency Vice-Admiral Jeremy Kyd. We’re so grateful to have her support.
